Blue Hill-Peninsula Free Health Services is celebrating a reopening of its clinic on Monday, January 5, 2015 in its new offices at 20 Hinckley Ridge Road in Blue Hill. The office is next to the Union 93 Superintendent of Schools office in what was the old Curves location.

The clinic will be open on Mondays from 3 to 6 pm, seeing old and new patients on a walk-in basis. Peninsula Free Health Services provides free general health care for those without insurance and who cannot afford it. The clinic promotes the importance of managing chronic illness such as diabetes and hypertension as well as increased awareness of the effects of smoking, diet/nutrition and exercise. The clinic's physicians provide non-narcotic prescriptions and volunteers assist with accessing low or no cost medications.

The clinic operates through the generous donation of time and expertise by area medical professionals and clerical staff. Additional volunteers are needed in all areas. It is supported entirely through donations and grants and receives no state or federal funding.

The clinic is also looking for donations of office equipment including computers and file cabinets, seating for our waiting area, and small medical equipment such as exam lights. For additional information about volunteering or donations, please contact the clinic at 266-3239 or by email:
